@brentcopeland

How do you like my brent beard? Isn't that crazy? All the brents on this page (beside the actual brent, the xbox avatar and the minecraft brent) were created by incredible artist from the DWP community.

This site is really just a place for me to stick up my podcast feed, but I figured why not just put links to stuff about me around it as well. Like we all need those.

If there is something you feel missing from this site, just let me know, and I may or I may not add it to the site.

TF2 News & Control Point

Posted by Brent Copeland Friday, December 16, 2011

So you might have missed Control Point this weekend. I know we did. After some technical issues setting us back over an hour, we didn't have time to record the show, and with the Holidays, it looks like we may be taking a few weeks break to get ready for the new year.

Also, we are talking about taking TF2 to a seasonal show (and when I say we, I mean me.. I haven't really approached the other guys yet!), like you normally see tv shows do.   The segments we get are fairly sporadic, some folks send them in every week, some are sent in once a month, and some are sent in once and never again!  :)   So we're trying to find a way to have the best show possible, and get all the goodies in each show.  Maybe 2 shows?  a news show and then a community segments show?  Hmm... Still thinking about this.

Just in case we do, I wanted to share with you some special TF2 news! Here's the news release!

Team Fortress 2 Ships Holiday UpdateNew class packs, hats, items and maps
December 15, 2011 -- Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the second annual holiday-themed "Australian Christmas" update, featuring two retro-futuristic "Dr. Grordbort" class packs for the Engineer and Pyro, designed by Weta Workshop's Greg Broadmore.

In addition to the class packs, the update will also ship 14 new holiday-themed weapons, hats and cosmetic items by the TF community's item creators, using the Steam Workshop. "CP_Foundry," a new five-cap control point map designed by Valve's TF2 team, comes with 12 map-specific achievements.

As part of the holiday celebration, over 50 items in the Mann Co. in-game store will be on sale for up to 75% until January 2nd, 2012. Additionally, the in-game item drop rate will be doubled for the first week of the event.

Team Fortress 2 is a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter that PC Gamer called "the most fun you can have online." With a growing community of players and item-creators, TF2 is more popular now than ever. For more information visit http://www.teamfortress.com/australianchristmas2011.
